Makoto USA is a woman-owned, small business and the exclusive manufacturer of the Makoto Arena II and the Makoto Wall. We are based just outside Denver, Colorado in one of the most beautiful areas in the United States.

We pride ourselves on listening to our customers and improving our products to meet the needs of those customers. Unlike many manufacturers, we build our equipment to last. One customer has over 65,000 games on their Makoto Arena!

Our game is simple – but it delivers powerful results. We can control players’ movements based on which targets will light up. A soccer coach might choose the lower targets to improve balance and kicking accuracy. A therapist working with a soldier with a new leg prosthesis might choose a two-tower game to improve balance shifting. The key to success is flexible programming which can deliver that “just-right” level of challenge so that every player has a positive experience.

What sets our Makoto Arena II apart is its unique triangular design. As opposed to other games in which the player has to face a video screen, every tower in the arena has its own speaker. Our game is driven first by sound. Once a player hears the tone, they then turn to see which target is lit. The patterns are random. What we do is create an environment which will stimulate the production of Brain-Derived-Neurotropic-Factors (BDNFs). Just by playing the simple game of Makoto a person can improve their brain while improving their body!

Common sense (and research) tells us that if an activity is deemed to be fun it increases the liklihood of a person engaging in that activity. And while we commend those people who diligently go to the gym to walk miles to nowhere on a treadmill while being distracted with music or television we’d like to offer an alternative.
